Dr Zoe Burns

Dr Zoe Burns is a specialist General Practitioner with an interest in Sports Medicine. She graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2014 and received her Fellowship to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2019.
Dr Burns’ is the NRLW Cronulla Sharks Chief Medical Officer. Her interest in the specialty began during GP training when she started working in a Sports Medicine practice in Townsville in 2018. Since then, she has gained experience in rugby league as a team and game-day Doctor working with semi-elite, elite and women’s international athletes and providing boxing coverage.
Dr Burns has an interest in the management and prevention of all sports and musculoskeletal presentations and welcomes patients of all ages and levels of physical activity. She has a focus on whole person health and understands the importance of returning to and maintaining a functional, active lifestyle as well as the pressures of preparing for a competition, race or performance.
Dr Burns works at Kirrawee Family Medical Practice as a GP and has an interest in women’s, children’s and Veteran’s health and caring for Defence families (having served over fifteen years in the Australian Defence Force).
