Our Sports Medicine Doctors

Our practitioners remain at the cutting edge of their field by regularly attending and presenting at conferences, as well as contributing to research and education. They are involved in looking after a wide range of people from recreational exercise and sporting enthusiasts to Australia’s elite athletes.

Sport and Exercise Medicine Physician Dr George Pitsis performs all injections under ultrasound guidance for accuracy and achieving best results. These include Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), cortisone, prolotherapy, Synvisc and Durolane viscosupplementation, Autologous Tenocyte Implantation (ATI), and Orthokine.

Paediatric Rheumatologist and Sports Medicine Fellow Dr Damien McKay holds an appointment at The New Children’s Hospital, Westmead as well as being a Clinical and Research Fellow at The Children’s Hospital Institute of Sports Medicine (CHISM).

Podiatrist Karina Schuberg uses a state-of-the art 3 D scanning system and video gait analysis (VGA) to optimise orthotic prescription.

Physiotherapists Brendan Ford, Thomas Stretton and Abraham Ghanem have vast experience utilising our on site gymnasium, Real Time Ultrasound (RTU) and EMG dual channel biofeedback techniques to optimise patient rehabilitation.
